Data Deletion Instructions

You can request full deletion of your SetuChat data — including stored Page and Instagram access tokens, knowledge base entries, conversation history, and account record — at any time. These instructions cover data from both the Facebook Messenger and Instagram Direct integrations.

Self-serve (in-app)

1. Sign in to setuchat.ai.
2. Open Settings.
3. Click Disconnect Facebook Page and/or Disconnect Instagram to stop the bot and revoke the stored tokens.
4. Click Delete account to remove all associated data.

Deletion completes within 24 hours.

By email

Email support@setucare.com from the address tied to your account with the subject line Delete my data. Include the Facebook Page name and/or Instagram username you connected. We will confirm completion within 7 days.

End-customer requests

If you are an end customer who messaged a Page or Instagram Business Account that uses SetuChat and want your message history removed, email support@setucare.com with the Page name or Instagram username you messaged. We will locate and delete your conversation history within 7 days.

What gets deleted

• Encrypted Facebook Page and Instagram Business Account access tokens
• All Messenger and Instagram Direct conversation messages and AI-generated replies
• All knowledge base items and embeddings
• Instagram and Messenger user identifiers stored against conversation threads
• Your user account and authentication records

Anonymized aggregate metrics (e.g. total messages handled this month) may be retained for billing and service-improvement purposes.
